At the end of April this year, we discovered TF online and contacted Teacher Evelyn. At that time, my daughter’s writing scores were inconsistent, with her highest score being 31 points. She often struggled to complete her essays within the allocated time during practice sessions. After reviewing one of my daughter’s recent essays, Teacher Evelyn patiently shared her insights and recommendations. Trusting the positive Google reviews, we decided to start online classes with her.
During the first month and a half, there wasn’t significant improvement in my daughter’s essays. Enrolling my twins with Thinking Factory has been a blessing for us and words just can’t express our gratitude to Teacher Evelyn enough.
The extra sessions for oral and revisions given to the student prior to the national examinations help prepare and motivate them to strive for greater heights. My twins, Kieran and Kyla have improved in their English by leaps and bounds under her guidance.
Teacher Evelyn not only engages her students, but also provide regular feedback and advice to parents on the children’s progression and performance. She also shared with parents the oral and composition topics from the various schools.
This year 2023, had been a rocky year for my twins, especially for my girl. Teacher Evelyn went the extra mile to give them more practices, putting in extra time to coach them and communicate with us on how to work with her to support them better. Her constant encouragement to my children has helped boost their confidence and they did well in their PSLE.

I wished we had attended her classes much earlier. Teacher Evelyn’s classes are well structured and covers all the components of the English paper really well. I especially liked that they did either a compo or a situational writing every week and also focused on paper 2 – that way, no aspect was ever neglected. The consistency was crucial to seeing an improvement in my daughter’s grades.
Oral practices started months before PSLE orals and the kids were given lots of opportunities to practice. Lots of topics were covered and she preps them well for it. Teacher Evelyn goes beyond just teaching. She’s also concerned about how you fare on your SA papers, prelims, compositions etc. She has never hesitated to answer questions or to look through work not related to class (work). We will forever be grateful to Teacher Evelyn for her passion and utmost dedication to teaching the kids! I highly recommend her classes – start as early as you can ! We enrolled RK for Thinking Factory’s classes at the end of P4 after seeing the great work that Ms Evelyn was doing with his sister RL in the lead up to PSLE 2020. While the sister went on to do very well, we were more measured in our expectations for RK as he approaches his studies in quite a different manner and had less solid foundations. To our great and pleasant surprise, his AL1 in PSLE 2022 English exceeded all our expectations. It is clear to us that Ms Evelyn’s tutelage was key to this outcome; she constantly worked with us, for example to nudge RK when added motivation was needed and for strategies to address specific areas of weaknesses. We are deeply appreciative of Ms Evelyn’s patient and tailored approach with both our children to bring out the best of their abilities. Both of our children also said that they enjoyed the lessons. Her classes are highly recommended if you are looking beyond cookie-cutter tuition classes to level up your child’s English abilities!

He always shares with me that Teacher Evelyn is patient and showers him with lots of encouragement. Teacher Evelyn has helped my child improve and prepare well for all his English tests, including oral, situational writing, composition, and comprehension. In addition to the nurturing environment, I am also extremely satisfied with the curriculum here.
The lessons in Thinking Factory are well planned and crafted. Efficient vast coverage on different English paper 2 components plus either SW or CW done in every lesson. I like not only that Thinking Factory covers all the components tested for PSLE including oral but also, all of these are covered in one class. Unlike other centres, the English subject is split up into 2-3 different classes. This can be daunting and time-consuming for a P6 child having to attend several classes just for English subject alone.
My child benefited also by the in-depth Oral preparation and many rounds of 1-1 in-person oral tests Teacher Evelyn conducted with her students. My child has learnt and picked up useful concepts to approach his oral exam questions confidently.
What really makes Thinking Factory outstanding is Teacher Evelyn’s genuine passion for her students’ learning. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my child needed to stop lessons at Thinking Factory. Yet, Teacher Evelyn never stopped to offer her help in many ways leading to the PSLE dates. She continued to check on my child by sending us her lesson materials for his learning. She will reply to any English papers questions from us even after my child has stopped lessons at Thinking Factory. Teacher Evelyn is the best English teacher we have known.
